Dear Friends,

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for allowing me to serve the people of the 89th district over the past year. It truly has been a humbling and rewarding experience. As I begin campaigning for re-election, I look forward to meeting with you over the next couple months and earning your vote in November. In the meantime, I would like to take some time to tell you about myself.

I am a seventh generation Missourian and a lifelong resident of St. Louis County. I am proud to have received a quality public school education, having graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School. I earned my undergraduate degree in Political Science from Middlebury College in where I was a scholar athlete on the varsity football and track teams.

After college I worked in the financial industry for Franklin Templeton Group of Funds before earning my Law Degree from St. Louis University. During my legal studies I clerked for the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, A.G. Edwards & Sons and the United States Attorney’s Office. Additionally, I was awarded a Certificate in International Law upon graduation. Following law school, I worked for a small law firm with an emphasis in real estate matters and for the past 15 years I have managed my own law firm. I understand the effort and hard work it takes to operate a successful small business. I work with individuals and businesses alike on a diverse array of issues every day to provide options and solutions for their problems.

In addition to my law practice, I had the honor of previously serving as a Municipal Judge in 21st Judicial Circuit. I believe my experience as a Municipal Judge brings a unique perspective to Jefferson City regarding current municipal issues in St. Louis County. I have also served on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Municipal and Associate Circuit Judges Association. I am a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Republican National Lawyers Association, the Illinois Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Des Peres Rotary Club.

My wife, Rebecca, is a registered nurse at a local surgery center. We live in Des Peres with our two children, Owen, age 8 and Stella, age 7. Faith, conservative values and fiscal responsibility are the foundations on which my family lives. As parents of young children, my wife and I are worried about their future and their ability to achieve the American Dream. Thinking about their future prompted me to get involved.

I believe Missouri, specifically St. Louis, is a great place to call home. However, we have serious challenges facing our State and County. As a community, we must educate and prepare our children for the challenges of the future while providing a safe environment for their development. Individual accountability needs to be restored and encouraged. I will work to preserve the economic base we have and will work to improve upon the quality of life we enjoy be attracting businesses and jobs and keeping government in check; by reducing government spending and curtailing government involvement in our businesses and daily lives.

Throughout my life, my parents, family, teachers and peers have taught me, and reaffirmed in me, the importance of giving back to my community and country. It has been an honor to serve the people of the 89th district. I humbly ask for your vote this November so that I can continue the work that I have already started. Please join with me, I know together we can make our community and state an even better place to live.
